Easthampton adds 25 free parking spaces downtown off of Cottage Street

MassLive: Free parking is an attraction the city touts as a convenience encouraging coming downtown to shop and eat on Cottage St. -- and on Friday, the municipality said 25 addition free parking spots are now available for public use.

They are located at the Maple Street School, a short walk to Cottage St. Signs are already up, to welcome motorists to use them.

Free parking downtown is a key component of Easthampton’s master plan, Mayor Nicole LaChapelle’s office said in a written statement announcing the Maple Street School initiative.
